Due to an unfortunate error on our part, there was an incorrect announcement for the 1st Runner Up placement in our finals. Chesterton was incorrectly announced as 2nd Runner Up due to an incorrectly calculated tie-breaker. I deeply apologize for the inaccuracy announced, and I send my sincerest apologies to all the students, parents, and directors of both Beavercreek and Chesterton. All the groups we were blessed to host today put on FANTASTIC performances and we take their trust in spending their day with us extremely seriously. Thank you to all the talented performers who graced our stage today, and to everyone who joined us for a day of celebrating this fantastic art form!

I woke up to see that my child’s group standing after Finals changed from First Runner Up to Second Runner Up. What a disappointment and so unprofessional to lower the award for Friends who was announced First Runner Up. I believe the professional choice would’ve been to award both groups the title of First Runner Up.
Extremely disappointed to see that the results have changed since last night. This is highly unprofessional and heartbreaking for our students and others involved in the show. If the error was on your part, then you should award both groups first runner up, especially since it was a tie to begin with.
