Dr. Chris Kindle is the Music Program Coordinator at State Fair Community College. He received his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Vocal Music Education from Northwest Missouri State University. He received his Doctorate in Music Education from the University of Missouri – Columbia. He taught public school in Missouri for 8 years. Under his direction his show choirs received many awards including best choreography, best show design, best vocals and multiple Grand Championships. He was one of three directors nominated for the FAME 2015 Aspire Award for “Best New Director.”
He has been an adjudicator/clinician for various District/State Choir events and Show Choir festivals across Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska and Tennessee. He has been a free-lance choreographer for the past 18 years. He has choreographed for high school show choirs and musicals in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. He provides choreography for Northwest Missouri State University’s show choir Celebration. He is a regular staff member for Northwest Missouri State University Summer Music Camp of Excellence for the past 15 years directing choirs, choreographing show choirs, and teaching private voice. Dr. Kindle is an active member of Missouri Music Educators Association, National Association of Music Educators, Missouri Choral Directors Association and American Choral Directors Association.
